NEED GONE BY WINTER. Will pay transport up to $xxxx if sold and moved before snow falls. LOA 28' LWL 25' Beam 8.5' Draft 4' Displacement xxxxlb. Lots of interior room and storage space. V-berth forward, with hanging locker, and head compartment (marine toilet has been removed, to make room for a porta-potti - toilet could be re-installed). There is a door between the forward cabin and the main salon. The salon has 6' standing headroom - more under the sliding skylight. To starboard there is a galley with sink (foot pump for fresh water from 25 gal galvanized tank with deck fill), space for ice box or Koolatron, and a storage cabinet and drawer under the sink. Included is a 2-burner alcohol cooker. To port is the helm station with excellent sight lines and overhead skylight hatch. Storage under helm seat. Aft of the galley and helm station are two settee/bunks with storage underneath, and a removable drop-leaf table in between. Interior is finished in mahogany. The door to the cockpit has a ventilated drop-leaf below it.
The engine is a refurbished 25HP Volvo MD2B twin-cylinder diesel that uses about 2L/hr at hull speed. The MD2B is a simple, easy to work on slow-revving engine, and parts are still available through Volvo Marine dealers. Included is a full spare gasket and seal kit, and spare water pump impeller. The engine starts easily and runs smoothly. Transmission, shaft, stuffing box, and propeller are all in excellent shape. The shaft log is lubricated by a permanently installed grease injector.
Sails include a 15.4sq m main, 10.6sq m jib, and a 15.5sq m genoa. Mast and boom have been refinished,. There are two winches in the cockpit. There is a strong and simple tabernacle, and the mast can be raised and lowered for bridge clearance.
We originally bought this boat for long-distance cruising based in the Rideau lakes, but have recently decided to move to B.C., so must sell. She is presently "on the hard" in her cradle near our house, and available for viewing at any time.
